Biography:

Coach Fowler is entering his 11th season in the East Wake Football League, with this as his 6th year as head coach in the league. Under Coach Fowler's direction, all four (2016 - 2019) PeeWee seasons were highlighted by consecutive trips to the playoffs. Under Coach Fowler’s direction, the 2021 Fuquay 14U offense outscored opponents 162 to 107, and had over 1600 yards of total offense compared to less than 800 by opponents. The team's success is based on solid football fundamentals and a balanced offensive attack. Coach Fowler played football at Tuscola High School, where he became a student of the game. He has attended Glazier Football clinics for 9 years straight, honing his coaching skills and knowledge.

Coach Fowler is the Director of Project Management with Connected Development in Cary and resides in Holly Springs with his wife Terri, daughter Delani, and son Seth.

Shilo Smith is a native of Grannis Ar. He joined the U.S. Army on March 12, 1993 after he graduated high school and served in the Army for 23 years until his retirement on May 24, 2016.  Coach Smith served in the 3^rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, NC. the majority of his career. He has made 8 combat trips with 4 to Afghanistan and 4 to Iraq. Coach Smith was recognized by the President of the United States for the volunteer work he has done within the community and was awarded The 2018 President’s Volunteer Service Award. Coach Smith has 3 boys Beckett, Blayne, and Blake whom are all currently playing tackle football with the Strong Center.   He holds a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has ensured that his son Beckett earned his 3^rd degree black belt, Blayne has his 2nd degree black belt, and Blake has his 1st degree black belt.

His coaching philosophy is “Don’t practice until you get it right, practice until you can’t get it wrong”.
