Shilo Smith is a native of Grannis Ar. He joined the U.S. Army on March 12, 1993 after he graduated high school and served in the Army for 23 years until his retirement on May 24, 2016. Coach Smith served in the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, NC. the majority of his career. He has made 8 combat trips with 4 to Afghanistan and 4 to Iraq. Coach Smith was recognized by the President of the United States for the volunteer work he has done within the community and was awarded The 2018 President’s Volunteer Service Award.
