For this year's cheerleading season, The Strong Center is offering cheer for 3 different age groups. However, the number of athletes will determine how many squads we will have. If we have more than one team, accommodations will be made for siblings to cheer together to make commitments to games easier. Please register for your age appropriate group. 8u (6-8), 10u (9-10) and 12u (11-12).
If we have ONE SQUAD due to a lower number of athletes, we will alternate which games we cheer for on Saturdays. Times would be announced the week before in this instance.
The Cost of cheerleading is $150 for the season. The cost covers: uniform (top and bottom), long sleeve crop top, bloomers, bow, poms and sweatshirt. Cheer shoes and ankle socks will need to be purchased.

Our squad of athletes have various levels of skills in cheering, tumbling and stunting. Cheerleaders do not tryout and our goal at the end of the season is to build confidence and to learn something new!
Your cheerleader will learn a dance/cheer/stunt routine and perform this routine at half-time for each game. Cheerleaders also have the fun responsibility to sell raffle tickets, athlete "shout outs" and face painting.
Practice days will be determined closer to the beginning of season. It will be 2 days a week and located at Optimist Farm. Home games are TBD and away game locations will alternate.
Our football teams are known for going to playoffs and Super Bowl, so please plan on committing to cheer until November.
Your cheerleader, no matter her skill level will learn all the skills needed for some tumbling, stunting and cheers. This year we will be learning new cheers as well as trying to do more stunts than previous years. In order for us to make this happen all cheerleaders are required to attend all practices and all games. If you are unable to attend practice, PLEASE NOTIFY A COACH ASAP. It is very difficult to work on stunts without all in attendance.
