Biography:  Coach Smith is entering his fifth season in the East Wake Football League and has recently been named the South Division commissioner for the EWFL organization. Mr. Smith brings a history of excellence in football and wrestling at Southwest Guilford High School (High Point, NC) while gaining All-Conference in football and All-State honors in wrestling securing the 1A-2A state title. He went on to wrestle briefly for N.C. State University where he ultimately completed his engineering degree. He continued to wrestle competitively in the spring and summer tournament circuits through college and assisted various local school programs sparking his interest to stay in youth athletics. Mr. Smith is active with the league as one of the directors and currently serves on the rules committee. He is President of the solid waste consulting firm Smith Gardner, Inc. in Raleigh and resides in Fuquay-Varina with his wife, Jennifer, daughter Zoe, and son Dylan. He also serves on the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Land Surveyors and the N.C. State University Engineering Advisory Board.

Biography:  Coach Higginbotham is entering his third season coaching with the East Wake Football League and has been a coach with the YMCA for several years. As a former University of Tennessee Track and Field Collegiate Athlete and Coach, he understands the importance of physical conditioning on and off the field. He is an executive in the Health and Fitness Industry and resides in Fuquay with his wife Carly, son Connor, and daughter Annika.
